For nearly five years, the January 5, 2021 DNC/RNC pipe bomb investigation sat unsolved. When the FBI finally made an arrest, they brought in Brian Cole—a man with diagnosed autism and severe processing limits who had never been arrested before. Over hours of intense questioning, while Cole suffered severe physical distress and told agents he could no longer process what was happening, investigators backed him into a corner until he yielded. We sit down with investigative journalist Steve Baker and former FBI Special Agent Kyle Seraphin to analyze: The Interrogation Tape: Document 102, Page 10 ("Mr. Cole Breaks"), the legal definitions of coercion under Colorado v. Connelly, and where standard interview tactics crossed the line into constitutional violation. The Forensics: How photogrammetry and brick-scaling in the DNC alley revealed a size 9 to 9.5 shoe on the surveillance video—while Brian Cole wears a size 12.
