A viral confrontation in Fort Worth, Texas has triggered a formal review by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Rights Division after local police officers were caught on bodycam threatening Christian street preachers with arrest and disorderly conduct citations at a Pride event.

In this video, Paul breaks down the legal reality of what happened at the Trinity Pride Fest, where street preachers David Grisham and Richard Penkoski were targeted by police on public sidewalks. Watch as officers claim that "offensive speech" is grounds for a citation, while admitting that other forms of speech are a "gray area."

We also expose the deep legal trouble the Fort Worth Police Department has just walked into. Not only is this a textbook violation of traditional public forum protections and the unconstitutionality of a "heckler's veto," but Fort Worth is already under a federal consent decree from a 2015 lawsuit (Grisham v. City of Fort Worth) for doing this exact same thing.

Now, Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon and the DOJ are investigating. We break down the First Amendment precedents—including Rosenberger v. Rector and Reed v. Town of Gilbert—that prove these officers violated the law, and why this is a massive blow to two-tiered, ideological policing.
