Never before has the Constitutional right to keep and bear firearms in this country been more at risk by the so-called leaders of this great nation than now. And with over 185,000 NICS background checks being performed on Black Friday (I bought three guns, so the number is likely much higher than 185,000 in terms of number of guns sold), it’s obvious the American people are fearful of the current state of our country. There are two specific things that have Americans the most worried: 1) President Obama – in all his lame duck glory – trying to force his anti-gun ways onto the American people via unconstitutional executive orders, and 2) more terrorists like the ones in San Bernardino flooding across our porous borders and attacking innocent Americans.

Personally, I have lost nearly any hope I had in the Republicans in Congress to do anything meaningful to fight off President Barack Obama’s efforts to further divide America and strip apart the Constitution. There was a time when I truly felt like Republicans were our Batman to Obama, the Joker. But Republicans – with ownership of both the House and the Senate – have now proven that they are either fearful of Barack Obama, are in on it with him, or just don’t care as they sit on the sidelines and allow Obama all the room he needs to operate in as he drives our country as deep into the ditch as humanly possible.

Thankfully there’s the NRA. As an NRA Life Member, I have always known the NRA to be the only lobbying arm gun owners could truly depend on in Washington D.C. Oh, the fact that they are “lobbyists” is a bad thing? Whether or not we want to believe that Congressmen are paid under the table in Washington, they are. And if my dues to the NRA are going into some crooked politician in DC’s pocket to persuade them to vote in favor of the Constitution they are sworn to uphold, then I am okay with that. You can believe that the anti-gun lobby is writing just as many checks! And the Republicans obviously won’t do it for free even if it is the right thing to do! Would you rather no one get paid lobbying dollars and Barack Obama get his way doing away with the Second Amendment? Look, it’s how the game is played. I’m tired of Conservatives losing because they want to play by the rules and liberals kick their butts because they just want to win. It’s time we play by the same rules as the unconstitutional hacks in this country.

That’s why we at Legally Armed America are launching our “I Stand with the NRA” campaign. Our goal is to wake up honest, gun-owning Americans while increasing membership to the NRA, so that they have the dollars needed to “play the game” to protect our Constitutional rights.

Here’s what to do: Shoot a video of yourself holding up the number of fingers that correspond with the number of people you protect in your family with your right to keep and bear arms. (I have two finger held of for my wife and son whom I protect.) Call out three friends or family members in your video to do the same. Or take a picture of yourself also holding up the number of fingers of people you protect in your family with your right to keep and bear arms. Post the picture on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Gun District, and anywhere else to get the word out. Use the hashtag #istandwiththenra in your posts. Hopefully, any of the people we call out who aren’t already members of the NRA will join, giving us further strength in numbers where we need it most, in Washington D.C.

This is a critical time in history for our country with the most unconstitutional president in the history of this country having nothing to lose in the final lame duck year of his miserable and pathetic presidency. Please help to prevent him from being victorious in his aggressive attempts to neuter honest, hard-working, legal, gun-owning Americans by dismantling the Second Amendment. Please stand with the NRA. #istandwiththenra

Here’s a video I also shot as an example that I’m posting online.
