Epic FAIL by mom of Sparks school shooting survivor on gun education
Once in a while we don’t have to stress over the right analogy to use to describe a failure in gun controllers’ logic; it just writes itself. In the most recent school shooting in Sparks, NV that’s exactly what happened. One of the students who was shot and survived states that he used to treat gun poorly and more like a toy. His mom tells the reporter that she has a gun in the house and how important gun safety is.
What? You have a 12-year-old in the same house that you have a gun in and he – AT TWELVE – still treats guns as toys and not as something that can kill you? The mom also tells the reporter that she has a safe. We doubt that she has one. If she does, we doubt the gun is even in there. The mom is stupid.
It is our jobs as parents to teach respect of guns. Most of us know this and do it. Some still don’t, though. Teaching a child that a gun goes “bang” is not enough. If you have to get down and dirty and show a picture of blood and guys (like old drivers ed movies) then do it! Get the point across that guns can kill you!
