The UN Treaty is backdoor gun registration, but CANNOT supersede the Constitution!

un eyeAnyone who’s listened to the cozy, fluffy little story about how the powder blue helmet-wearing heroes of the UN are going to police the evil world and keep all illicit weapons out of the hands of mean ol’ warmongers and then children of the world will be able to rejoice and dance in fields of cotton candy and rainbows knows that the UN Arms Trade Treaty that will NOT go away is being packaged pretty attractively and sounds like a really good thing on the surface. I mean, who wouldn’t want to keep an evil, corrupt government or person from getting guns, right? Ok, let me drop a little knowledge on you.

While the UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) touts itself as this wonderful thing that keeps guns from the bad guys, it fails to mention that the bad guys are the ones signing the treaty! The warmongers and corrupt people who abuse guns across the world are the very people sitting in New York telling us all how great this treaty is and that we need to sign it.

Our own country has proven that illegal trade of dangerous weapons is not a humanitarian issue, but rather a political one as our very own Department of Justice oversaw illicit gun trading that resulted in thousands of illegal gun purchases as well as many deaths resulting from those illegal guns with “Fast & Furious”. And illicit gun-running is also at the height of the yet-to-be-determined cause of the Benghazi murders. So why trust that this administration somehow now cares about stopping illegal gun-running?

And here’s a thought to ponder: If the UN ATT is about tracking guns and controlling what crosses in and out of borders throughout the world, how in the world do you track a gun that isn’t “registered”? If I – an innocent, legal, non-felon – purchase a gun legally and decide to sell it to a “friend” in Mexico who then sells it to a “friend” in Venezuela who then manages to get it to a “friend” in Nigeria who shoots a child with it, doesn’t that circumvent the whole UN ATT? Wouldn’t the only way to prevent that from happening be to have me register my gun in an international database that can track that gun wherever it is and when it’s sold? So registration of United States citizens’ guns would have to occur in order for this treaty to have any chance of doing what it’s supposedly designed to do.

For those that want to carry the Administration’s water on this one, let me drop a little more knowledge on you. Reid v. Covert (1957) held that no treaty that would violate the U.S. Constitution can supersede the U.S. Constitution. Done. Get over it. So while we fully expect our traitorous president to make every attempt to support this unconstitutional treaty, it will be easy to “un-do” if he signs it once he is finally gone from the White House because precedent has already been set in the court system. The problem is that we have 3 more years of him in office and there’s no telling if the next president (Dem or Rep) will simply carry on the current administration’s hatred of the Second Amendment.

Here’s a list of U.S. Senators who’ve voted in support of the UN Arms Trade Treaty. Send them a nasty, hurtful letter letting them know their days are numbered in office because we will not tolerate traitors who are paid with America tax dollars. Tell them they must go!
